My research aims to understand the concepts and mechanisms which underly the complexities of organic chemistry. I use laboratory automation technologies and statistics to explore and investigate scientific hypotheses.

My Story
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
As an undergraduate student in 2000 I was inspired by the story of my organic chemistry Professor who survived Hodgkins Lymphoma after treatment with Vinblastine, a naturally occurring plant derived compound. I was fascinated that cures to disease surrounded us in our environment but in many cases we lacked the tools to bring these molecules to the people who desperately needed them. I've focused my professional career to advancing therapeutically promising molecules through direct chemical synthesis, innovation in organic chemistry, and the application of statistics to high-throughput experimentation. Presently, my role is best described as the intersection of synthetic organic chemistry, high-throughput experimentation, and machine learning.
